The Sedona Creative Life Center, nestled in 15 secluded acres just minutes from the heart of town, is once again the breathtaking site of our 2009 Arizona cooking retreat.  This spacious state-of-the-art facility includes a gourmet kitchen, open air dining patio, beautiful sculpture gardens, secluded outdoor areas, and warmly designed meeting rooms—perfect for our evening lecture/workshops and morning yoga/movement classes.  Plan to extend your stay before or after the retreat to fully experience the destination voted one of the most beautiful vacation spots in America!

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Our retreat begins on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. at the Creative Life Center with orientation, introductory lecture/workshop and welcome dinner, and concludes on Friday at 12:30 p.m.  Major airlines provide service to the Phoenix airport along with car rental services.  Sedona is a two hour drive through some of the most picturesque scenery in Arizona.  Shuttle service is also available with advanced reservation.  Enrollment confirmation, driving directions, itinerary and retreat week details will be e-mailed upon receipt of the retreat deposit.  Click here for Core Program Content and Agenda

WEATHER

One of the major attractions of Sedona is its year-round mild and mostly dry temperatures. All four seasons offer great weather conditions for sightseeing, golf and enjoying the most beautiful scenery in America.  March temperatures can range from the mid 60s to 80’s, with low evening time temperatures in the 30's.  Weather at this time of year is often unpredictable and always best to dress in layers.

YOGA/MEALS

Most mornings begin with yoga/movement class followed by a whole foods breakfast buffet.  All cooking classes include a delicious full course organic meal.  Dinners are provided Sunday and Thursday evening.  For additional meals, you’ll have a chance to experience some of Sedona diverse cuisine.

FREE TIME

Following our morning cooking class, most afternoons are free to explore Sedona’s  unique offerings, on your own or with the group.  Free time activities include:

  • hiking, biking and walking trails for all experience levels to unforgettable vistas such as Soldier's Pass and Broken Arrow
  • experience the beauty and energy of any of Sedona’s many vortex sites
  • schedule a Pink Jeep tour to take you off road and deep into Red Rock Country
  • explore world-renowned galleries, spas and New Age shops
  • schedule a massage or other spa or New Age service
  • travel to Flagstaff or the Grand Canyon on Thursday morning and afternoon prior to our early evening cooking class
  • golf at some of the best courses in the state in nearby Village of Oak Creek, or
  • simply relax as you choose

GROUP EXCURSION (optional)

Wednesday afternoon will include an optional group tour of geographical and vortex sites such as Cathedral Rock and Airport Mesa, followed by dinner in one of Sedona’s fine restaurants.

Thursday’s class begins in the late afternoon giving you additional time to explore the areas nearby and distant attractions.
